Pilgrimage Spaces of Razavi Holy Shrine Will Be Developed
The director of the Organization for the Construction and Development of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.) announced the increase in pilgrimage spaces of the Sacred Shrine.
According to Astan News correspondent, Mohammad Kazem Molazem al-Hosseini, on the sidelines of the visit of the Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi to the development of the subsurface porticos of the Razavi Holy Shrine said, “Following the emphasis of the Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi over the development of pilgrimage spaces, the Organization for Construction and Development of the Holy Shrine has put this important plan on its agenda.”
“Among these spaces, which is of great importance is the portico underlying Sheikh Baha'i’s sanctuary, which complements the connection between the lower porticos,” he added
“This portico on the one hand will be connected to the Dar al-Rahmeh Portico, which is located below the Portico of Imam Khomeini (R.A.), and on the other hand, it is connected to the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (S.A.),” Molazem al-Hosseini pointed out.
“In the first phase of the project, a total of 7500 square meters of pilgrimage space will be added to the subsurface space, and in the next phase, 5000 square meters of service space will be added, including sanitary facilities, service spaces, installation facilities and administrative space,” he stated.
“One of the remarkable points is that along with the development of the pilgrimage space, toward which we have taken good steps, we are simultaneously working to strengthen the Shrine’s buildings,” Molazem al-Hosseini stressed.
He stated that the consolidation of many parts of the Holy Shrine was carried out and said, “In this project, in addition to consolidation of the old buildings, we reach new capacities and plus consolidation, the development of pilgrimage spaces will take place.”
